Guy Fawkes

The boys had a late night last Saturday. We went up to the farm and celebrated Guy Fawkes.

The new gate

Our lovely neighbour helped us build a fence and gate across out lawn to keep the boys from wandering off. It's great cos it means I don't have to watch Mikko constantly when he's playing outside.

Butterfly Creek

We all went to Butterfly Creek last weekend as a treat. The boys loved it, mostly the little train ride which is not surprising really - they are all about trains :)

been a bit lazy with updating the blog lately. No excuse really just life :)

Boys are both well though Mikko is STILL teething (will it ever end???!!???) and Finn been a bit stroppy (I am oping this is a growth spurt thing and not just his new attitude lol)

A couple of weeks ago Colin took us to Rainbows End - theme park. The boys loved it, here are some pics :)

My little Mikko

Our wonderful Mikko is almost 15 months old and such a little darling. He loves thomas the tank engine and playing with Finn.

Anyway we had a bit of a scare with him the other day and he ended up in Starship Children's Hospital on Monday night/Tuesday and had to have a hernia operation :( He is a little trooper though and is absolutely fine now - think it was harder on Mum!!!

The Rain Forest Express

Today we had the most fun riding on the Rain Forest Express in the Waitakere Rain forest. Finn loves trains and really enjoyed riding with Grandma and Grandpa. Everytime we went through a tunnel he gave Grandma a kiss :)

Our Mini-break

Colin took some annual leave a few weeks ago and we took off up to Tutuaka for a couple of nights. We used bookabach.co.nz and got a great little place on the beach.

The boys had so much fun in the sand and Colin and I even got a chance to have a kayak!

Fimbo is three!

Finn had a great third birthday and was thoroughly spoilt. HIs birthday was on a Thursday but he has Kindy on Thursdays (like all big boys!) so he had a party on Friday with plenty of guests and plenty of cake! It was a train party as Finn is a big fan of Thomas and all his friends. The kids got bandanas and train whistles and I made a train cake. Thomas came (of course) and so did Mummy, Daddy, Mikko, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Andy, Auntie Jenine and Finn's good friends Caleb, Hayley, Nadia and Aiden - they all had a blast!

Well I hadn't posted any photos of Mikko on his Birthday so thought I better do that and tTHEN will post some of Finn's.

So here is our youngest little viking, Mikko Alexander Gibson on his 1st birthday - we love you dotski!!

We were so happy to have our good friends come stay with us this month. Jonny and Jo have taken us into their homes in both London and Hong Kong over the past 4-5 years so it was so great to have them come and say with us and meet their lovely little girl Miya.

Hokianga Holidays

We have been up to the far North enjoying the sunshine with family.

Finn had an absolute ball on the beach splashing about with his cousin Lennox.

We stayed at my Aunt's bach and it was lots of fun!
