fun in the sun with Daddy

It really feels like Spring has sprung now and we have just enjoyed a lovely sunny weekend together.

The boys and I LOVE it when Colin is home, not only is it great to have a helping hand but we also tend to do more fun activites. This weekend we finally got Finn's trampoline up (yay another way to wear him out) and started doing some planting along our back fenceline.

We also went to the local indoor pools on Saturday. Finn, who is smack in the middle of the terrible twos, had a tantrum about getting into his togs and then another tantrum when it was time to get out of them!!! It was Mikko's first time swimming and he loved it! Next time I will get some pictures at the pools.

Mikko is really starting to enjoy eating too which is great cos he is rather a lightweight at the moment so hopefully he'll start to fatten up soon :) Check him out in his new highchair!

Our Playgroup

The boys and I have joined a local playgroup that we go to on Friday mornings. This morning was the end of term so it was dress ups! Finn was a dashing Superman and Mikko a cute animal :)

This afternoon Finn was busy playing with our homemade playdough!

the exersaucer

Colin hired an exersaucer for Mikko. We hired one when Finn was little too and they are great. You can tell by Mikko's expression that he seems to quite like it ;)

Our little Mover

Well Mikko isn't quite crawling but very close. he is moving around a lot though through rolling and shuffling forward commando style. He is also sitting very well now though we do put cushions behind him in case of tumbles. A friend has been scaring me telling me that her son who crawled at 7 months was walking by 10 months!!!

Finn and Mikko get on great together which makes things easier for me! Here they are playing together and also a a shot of Finn as a fairy. You can also see in the pictures that Mikko is very close to crawling!

Colin gave me flash new camera for my birthday :) So... thought I'd take a picture of our new dining room. We just got these new chairs as we have never had a proper set of dining chairs before. The Sombreros (sp?) are from our Honeymoon (we spent an afternoon South of the border).
