off to school! and new words :)

Finn had his first day at school today. He is now a proud member of room 7 at Red Beach School and pleased to be cloakroom monitor for the week!

Initially he wasn't too thrilled about going off to school this morning but once he got his uniform on he looked so excited and pleased.

Mikko can say about 50 single words now. Some are not very clear and some not used very often. Other are very clear and used daily. 'Thomas' as in the tank engine is a word he has used for a while but it used to be "To" then "Tommmm" and for a long time was "Tommy" but after last weeks visit to Glenbrook Railway we have now got a very clear "Thomas".  Check it out!

PS He is a bit grumpy as he is asking for the "Thomas" DVD and Mummy won't let him watch

Pirate Party Day

Not long after Finn turned 4 he told me he wanted a Pirate party when he turned 5 and we have pretty much been planning it since then. Everytime we had a cardboard box at home we cut it up and made a 'beware' or a 'danger' sign. It's been a lot of fun!

We started the day with presents

Then we decorated the garden with out home-made bunting and signs that we have been busy making.

This is the entry tunnel - it looks a bit lame but the kids loved it! There was pirate music playing too

This is our 'island'
 And then the party begins......

I made heaps of cool pirate themed food - buried treasure mousse, fish in jelly etc and forgot to take pics of it on the table - here some of it is in the fridge beforehand.

And Finn's favourite expression at the moment.

The Big 1.0 for Master Kasper

One today - wow that went fast. A little too fast for my liking actually!
Here are 12 photos, one for each month we have had you so far.

You are such a lovely boy Kasper and so easy for Mummy you have completed our family just perfectly.
We Love you!

He is having his big party on Saturday - he's sharing his party with Finn, who is turning 5 :)
Finn had his last day at preschool today (sob sob!).
He loves it there. I'm a little nervous at how he is going to go at school. I guess it's 'cos he is my first and I have never done the school thing yet so it is all new. He has had 4 school visits with the final result that he is not that keen on it at all - hahaha. He does approve of the playground though.
